Title: Sueños y Pinturas
Director: Patricio Jijón
In a city where memory bleeds into matter.
A girl leaps from the top of a building
but instead of falling, her hair begins to grow, endlessly, cascading beneath her like a living ladder. Suspended in midair, she enters a trance, her body rotating slowly as her infinite locks stretch across the cityscape. Below, a man begins to climb—drawn by instinct, memory, or love—ascending through the spiraling strands toward her.

Sueños y Pinturas is a dream rendered in motion, blending oil painting, 3D animation, and AI to translate inner feeling into cinematic animation. It is a meditation on connection, transformation, and the weightless power of surrender.
Brushstrokes become movement—each line a pulse, each texture a breath, as pigment dissolves into motion and stillness awakens into story.
Sueños y Pinturas was born from a dream—one so vivid it lingered like paint on the edges of my waking mind. A woman leaping from a building, her hair growing endlessly beneath her as she floats in a trance above New York City. A man climbing up those infinite locks, drawn by emotion, memory, or perhaps something unknowable. That image stayed with me. I had to give it form.
My work has always been rooted in the subconscious. I paint what I feel, what I dream, what I cannot explain. This film is an extension of that process. I wanted to see what would happen if my oil paintings could move—if they could breathe, turn, and immerse the viewer inside the emotional architecture of a dream.
Using 3D animation and AI tools like Runway’s texture transfer app, I’ve been able to carry over the energy of my brushstrokes into a time-based medium. The textures, colors, and visual weight of my paintings live inside each frame. Every movement is sculpted with the same sensitivity I bring to the canvas.
This film is not just about storytelling—it’s about translating internal landscapes. It’s about surrendering to feeling and letting emotion guide the form. Sueños y Pinturas is a meditation on connection, transformation, and the way dreams speak when we’re ready to listen.
